Our members also spend time volunteering for organizations like the Oregon Food Bank, Special Olympics Oregon, SMART, the Dougy Center, JOIN, Trauma Intervention Program, and the Children's Cancer Association...just to name a few.
This doesn't include the dedicated hours put in by our team members who work day to day in the non-profit sector or with local and state government. Bridge City Paddling Club cares about the community!

9/24/2016 - Running the dunk tank at the Buckman Kerns Block Party, we raised another $550 for the CCA! EastBurn is also donating more funds from that evening...woohoo! Thank you!
BCPC's 12-hour Dawn to Dusk Paddle for the Children's Cancer Association took place on 9/17/16 in the all-day rain!

Volunteering at the Oregon Food Bank - 12/30/2015 - We packed 15,373 lbs of food, providing 12, 810 meals, and averaged 377 meals per volunteer!
Bridge City Blood Drive - 11/22/2015 - We successfully donated 29 pints of blood. Nice work!
Food Drive for Post 134. We collected non-perishable food and delivered to our local American Legion on 2 Saturdays in November.

Oregon Food Bank volunteering - December 2014 - We ended the year volunteering at the Oregon Food Bank - we packed over 36,000 lbs of food!
Dawn to Dusk Paddle for CCA
On Saturday, August 2, we paddled a dragon boat around Ross Island in downtown Portland for 12 HOURS! That's right...from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to raise over $48,000 for the Children's Cancer Association!
Rye Beer Fest - we think our total will be about $2,200 for CCA! 6/13/2014 - A HUGE thank you to Taplister and EastBurn for their generosity in donating a portion of the proceeds from the Rye Beer Fest to our Dawn to Dusk Fundraiser for the Children's Cancer Association!
Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Oregon - We raised $12,407! - 3/1/2014 We also won for BIGGEST TEAM with 132 members and most funds raised in Portland!

A 12-hour paddle to benefit the Children's Cancer Association - 8/17/2013Thanks to the generous support of our friends, family and paddling community,
we were able to raise over $43,000 for the CCA! We paddled 11.5 laps, about 70 miles.

Proceeds from the Hopworks and 10 Barrel kegs were donated to our Dawn To Dusk Fundraiser for the CCA! And thanks to all the breweries that provided swag for the raffle too!

Big Climb - March 2011. We climbed 69 flights -1,311 steps in the Columbia Tower to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Polar Plunge - February 2011. Our biggest and best yet...BRRRidge City Polar Paddlers not only raised $7,695 for Special Olympics Oregon, but won for the biggest team in Portland with 50 team members!
Bridge City Paddlers raised funds and awareness for the Susan G. Komen Foundation
on Oct. 2, 2010 in the Row For The Cure.
Bridge City attended Class For A Cure at ADAPT Training on Sept. 18 to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
We participated in the Relay For Life of Gresham July 31 - Aug. 1 to benefit the American
Cancer Society. Some of our members completed full marathons in the process!
Bridge City took to the Willamette River on July 24 for our 12 hour Dawn to Dusk Paddle. We raised nearly $5,000 for Blue Planet Network.
Bridge City rocked out another Habitat Build Saturday, April 10. Nice work everyone!
We participated in the Big Climb (69 Flights) on March 21, raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Bridge City built on Sat, March 13 with Habitat for Humanity. Now THAT was fun!
We started our community service projects this year with the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Oregon on January 30, 2010. Yes, that's COLD!!!
Proud of the fact that in 2009-2010 our Club accrued 1,745 VOLUNTEER HRS & $12,781.00 donations to charity!
